We support educational projects

The competition "Web.Master podkarpacki" is one of many initiatives undertaken by Ideo. Its second edition, which, like the previous one, enjoyed high attendance and student involvement, has just finished.

The aim of the competition is to support students of secondary and upper secondary schools from Podkarpackie Voivodeship in the development of their computer passions. The competition formula is intended to motivate young people to self-enrich their knowledge and acquire programming skills and to promote IT-related professions.

The competition is organized by the Institute for the Development of Information Society and the Power Engineering School Complex in Rzeszow. The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Marshal of the Podkarpackie Province, the President of Rzeszów and the Curator of Education of the Podkarpackie Province. The media patronage covered 16 regional editors.

Ideo supports the project as a technology partner of the event and is involved in its promotion. The first stage of the competition was conducted using a dedicated e-learning platform www.konkurs.webmasterpodkarpacki.pl. More than 500 students from the Podkarpackie Province took a part.

“I am positively surprised that the competition aroused so much interest. In the finals we managed to gather the best young developers from the region who are exceptionally good at designing websites." says Irena Jamróz, the director of the Power Engineering School Complex in Rzeszow.

On the 21st of March 2017 at the Energy Schools in Rzeszów, 15 students of junior high and 15 students of upper secondary schools tested their practical skills in web design. The best in their categories were the students from Jarosław and Dębica. In addition to the prize, winners received a proposal for an internship at Ideo Sp. z o.o. The finalists in the middle school category also struggled for extra points for the school leaving certificate.

Web.Master Podkarpacki contest is just one of numerous initiatives undertaken by the company. In cooperation with the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów, Ideo launched the WebAkademia.it workshops. The project allows you to acquire practical programming skills during a 180-hour course. It is aimed at a wide group of recipients - not just pupils or students, as well as those who want to change their job. The first edition of WebAkademia.it was launched by the end of 2016. The recruitment for the second edition of the Workshop just has been launched.
