Aperitif.no is the largest Norwegian information portal presenting a wide variety of food and drinks recipes. It also offers several unique services, related to cooking based on the chef’s high competences and skills.

Tasks and objectives
We designed an information portal based on the proprietary Edito CMS platform which we expanded with the Norwegian language version of the administration panel. The website is fully responsive and displays correctly on any device. Edito CMS platform provides high-performance and flexible solutions. The project included data migration from previous CMS and optimization of the whole transferred data.
News portal contains a wide spectrum of functionalities that will facilitate and provide efficient service for over 500 thousand patients per year.
The website presents a wide selection of recipes for dishes, snacks, and wines, along with detailed information, comments, and ratings.
In Today’s special bookmark you can find different interesting recipes every day. Users who have their own profile account can use several interesting functions after logging in, e.g.:
- enter products that they have in the fridge, so that the system will find recipes with these particular ingredients,
- like a recipe / wine,
- “My cookbook” - users add their own recipes, which they save in their profile,
- “My wine cellar” - similar to food, they add and save their wines and information about them,
- “My Drinks” - Users can save their recipes for unique drinks / cocktails.
Products catalogue search is based on Elasticsearch engine.
From time to time, the client organises degustation, for which users can sign up on the website. You could also buy a gift card voucher for an event.
Edito CMS is integrated with SendGrid - the e-mail marketing platform, which automates newsletters sending and gathers statistics. The website is also integrated with Vinmonopolet and payments - Elavon and Nets. They enable importing data (updated on-line) about wines from Vinmonopolet (The Wine Monopoly) and ordering chosen drink.
Our SEO specialists helped us to optimize the website to be even more visible on the Search Engines.
